State Grid Wuhan power supply company has recently launched automatic electric vehicle (EV) charging robots in central China's Hubei Province as part of the initiative to find out the prospects of the country's NEV market.
At city charging stations or highway service centers, the robot can locate vehicles, charge them and finish payment settlements to meet the rising demand for mobile charging of electric vehicles.
Charging robots can also provide emergency charging services for new energy vehicles. Within 2 km, the remote-controlled robots can travel to the destination themselves; beyond 2 km, they are transported to the site with the help of staff members.
