Cross-sea high-speed railway starts operation in E?China

Fuzhou-Xiamen high-speed railway, a high-speed rail running from Fuzhou to Xiamen and to Zhangzhou, started operation on Thursday in east China's Fujian Province. It is China's fastest cross-sea high-speed rail, with trains running at a maximum speed of 350 km/h. 　

This high-speed rail will connect Fuzhou and Xiamen in just 55 minutes, making it possible for residents of both cities to live within a "one-hour living circle". 　 The Quanzhou Bay cross-sea bridge, part of the 277-km Fuzhou-Xiamen high-speed railway,　is 20.3　km long in total, with its sea bridge measuring 8.96 km in length.　It is a semi-floating cable-stayed bridge with twin towers and double cable planes.
