A photo exhibition has been underway at Hangzhou Winland Center in China's Zhejiang Province to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Convention Concerning the Protection of the World Cultural and Natural Heritage.
Shahbaz Khan, director of the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) Office in Beijing and UNESCO Representative to the People's Republic of China, attended the exhibition and delivered a speech.
"Protecting, conserving and keeping it also for our future generations and this heritage, which is what we call World Heritage, is not only for the people of one country. This is the heritage of all nations, so we continue to move to new technologies, like electrical vehicles, artificial intelligence, smarter phones, and more internet of things at the same time," said Shahbaz Khan.
He also added that Hangzhou shew a great example of also ecological civilization and keeping our lakes and wetlands clean and at the same time preserving them for the future generations.
Visitors immersed themselves in the charm of 68 heritage sites from around the globe. The exhibition will last until August 31.
