This year's college entrance examination, also known as gaokao, kicks off on Wednesday across China. Some cities have offered many conveniences for examinees who attend the exam.
During the operation of Fuzhou Metro from Wednesday to Friday, examinees taking exam admission tickets for this year's national college entrance exam and one of their family members can get free ride services. They will enjoy another four services, namely prior security check, prior entering the subway station, prior handling of passenger affairs, and prior waiting in line. Each station of Fuzhou Metro has a green channel for the college entrance examination, which is convenient for students to take the subway quickly.
At key stations near exam sites, exit guidance notices are also posted on the wall in the middle of the station hall so that candidates can quickly locate the exit.
Each customer service center of Fuzhou Metro stations is equipped with umbrellas, medicine boxes, and other items which are offered to students for free.
Given the special situation that some examinees' ID cards are expired, lost, or damaged, and they urgently need to get their new ID cards, the Beijing Municipal Public Security Bureau has especially opened a "green channel" for students to apply for their ID cards.
Gao Xiong, deputy director of the Haidian Police Station, said that during the college entrance examination, examinees can go to any household registration police station in the city to apply for temporary ID cards if necessary. Then they will get their temporary ID cards on the spot only after a few minutes.
In Haikou, the capital of south China's Hainan Province, a student asked for help from the traffic police because of traffic jams and the traffic police immediately sent a traffic policeman to escort the student to the exam site.
The traffic police said in an interview that when escorting the student to the exam site, the green lights were all the way, and it took about 6 minutes to arrive there.
