Insights｜International relations expert: G7 has transformed into a containment machine for other countries

(ECNS) -- Linjie Chou Zanadu, senior research fellow at the European Center for Peace and Development, claimed that G7’s mission has never changed: to guard the interest of those imperial powers. In addition, Chou explained that G7 members intentionally exclude other countries that are not 100 percent in line with the Western ideological camp. Therefore, G7 is highly racist and is now an ultra neo-liberal institution.

Chou also noted that during the past few years particularly, G7 has been transformed into a containment machine for other countries including China and Russia. So he thinks continental European powers should try to maintain strategic autonomy outside the Anglo-Saxon mechanism.
