John Lee Ka-chiu, chief executive of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, visited the Chinese mainland city of Chongqing for three days starting on Wednesday to establish a cooperation mechanism between the two cities.
On Thursday, he arrived at Ciqikou Ancient Town, tasted the spicy and savory Chongqing hotpot which was known for its bold flavors, as well as the famous "Dandan noodles", a Sichuan specialty featuring noodles in a spicy and savory sauce. He also enjoyed the ancient Chinese art form Sichuan Opera at Ciqikou.
