People dressed in Hanfu, a type of traditional Chinese clothing, celebrated the Shangsi Festival at a theme park in Xi'an, Shaanxi Province on Saturday. The celebrations included a dance performance and a fashion show.
The Shangsi Festival, also known as the Double Third Festival, which falls on April 22 this year, is observed by China's Han and Zhuang ethnic groups who believe it can ward off evil spirits and natural disasters. It is also used as a time to pray for sons and daughters to have children.
