PetroChina completes drilling Asia's deepest oil well in Sichuan

A unit of PetroChina Co. Ltd completed drilling Asia's deepest vertical oil well on Monday.

The Pengshen 6 well, located near Mianyang city in southwest China's Sichuan province, measures 9,026 meters deep.

This breakthrough would further strengthen China's domestic energy security.
