Some car owners charged their electric vehicles with photovoltaic solar energy when stopping next to an interchange of the G93 Chengdu-Chongqing Expressway on Monday.
A charging station, integrating photovoltaic power generation, electric energy storage, car charging, battery detection and automatic power change services, is used to charge electric vehicles with photovoltaic electricity, which promotes the travel carbon-reduction with clean electric energy.
A total of 12 DC charging piles are set in the charging area, which can charge 24 electric vehicles at the same time. The hall is equipped with a large display screen. Car owners can know the charging progress of the vehicle in real time while having a good rest. During the Spring Festival holiday, the station served nearly 200 electric vehicles a day.
It is reported that State Grid Chongqing Electric Power Company has built 139 charging stations and 572 fixed charging piles in Chongqing expressway service area, covering more than 90% of Chongqing expressway service area, effectively meeting the demand for electric vehicle energy supplement and helping the development of electric vehicle industry.
