Haernuo in Zhenlai County, northeast China's Jilin Province, known as the "fishing island in northern China", opened the annual winter fishing season.
The first fishing net caught 100 tonnes of fish. The fresh fish output from winter fishing in Haernao this year is expected to reach 300 tonnes.
The water source of Haernao comes from Nenjiang River, the largest tributary of Songhua River.
The water of Nenjiang River is clean and pollution-free. There are black carp, grass carp, silver carp and bighead carp. All of them taste good.
