China's motorcades for visiting state guests

(ECNS) -- China provides formal motorcycle escorts for visiting foreign leaders. Since 1984, these motorcyclists have escorted over 800 guests of honor more than 2,500 times.

They have completed escort tasks on a series of major occasions including the APEC conference, the military parade marking victory in the War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression, the G20 Hangzhou Summit, etc.

Behind the scenes lie strict requirements on height, appearance, physique, etc., and high-intensity training in physical fitness, riding skills, psychological quality and more, each member should master extremely difficult skills like exchanging vehicles while driving and 90° quick turning. They also need to be proficient in catching and grappling, shooting, fast response, etc.

There are a total of 50 subjects in 6 categories, which takes about 800 hours.
