A close look at C919 passenger jet at 14th Airshow China

(ECNS) -- A C919, China's first self-developed single-aisle passenger jet, debuted at the 14th Airshow China in Zhuhai, south China's Guangdong Province on Tuesday.

The narrow body jet C919 is fitted with 158-168 seats and has a range of 4,075-5,555 kilometers, the same capacity as the popular Airbus A320 and Boeing 737 planes. It conducted its successful maiden flight in 2017 and obtained airworthiness certification from the country's aviation regulator on Sept. 29, 2022.

The 14th Airshow China is running from Tuesday to Sunday. Thousands of exhibits from some 740 companies of 43 countries and regions are displayed at the event, with many to make their debut at the exhibition.
