Two tombs from the late Spring and Autumn Period (770 B.C.-476 B.C.) have been discovered at a cemetery site in Wenxi County of north China's Shanxi Province, announced by Shanxi Provincial Institute of Archaeology on Thursday.
A total of 36 pieces (sets) of funerary objects have been found in one of the burials, while the other unearthed a total of 10 pieces (sets) of funerary objects, including bronze, pottery and jade.
It is presumed that the two burials are joint burials of a couple according to the burial location and artifacts.
