All obstacles removed to relocate more people in quake-hit Moxi Township

(ecns) -- All obstacles have been removed in resettlement sites of Moxi Township on Monday after a 6.8-magnitude earthquake struck the town and neighboring areas in Southwest China's Sichuan Province on Sept. 5.

Rescue team worked in shifts for three days, hoping to relocate more homeless people as soon as possible. The death toll from the 6.8-magnitude earthquake that hit Southwest China's Sichuan Province last Monday has risen to 93, local authorities for earthquake rescue and relief said Monday.

Rescue workers will continue to search for the missing people, while the major work in the quake-hit area will shift from rescue to resettlement and reconstruction, according to local authorities.
