Tibetan gazelles spotted on Qinghai grassland

(ECNS) -- A group of Tibetan gazelles was spotted in Banma County, Golog Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture of northwest China's Qinghai Province.

Located in the core area of Sanjiangyuan Nature Reserve, Banma County is the main source of water in the upper reaches of Yangtze River.

Tibetan gazelles are under second-class national protection in China.

Banma County is home to over 100 Tibetan gazelles covering dozens of species. Over the years, the county has spared no efforts to protect wild animals, return grazing land to grassland, restore wetlands and control desertification. The ecological environment has thus been continuously improved. An increasing number of wild animals like Tibetan gazelles, black-necked cranes, and white-lipped deer, have all been spotted here.
