(ECNS) -- Nine ancient tombs ranging from the Spring and Autumn Period (770 B.C.-476 B.C.) to the Qing Dynasty (1644-1911) have been discovered in Hongdong County, Shanxi Province, said Shanxi Provincial Institute of Archaeology on Tuesday.
Over 150 sets of cultural relics including bronze, stone, gold, and lacquer ware objects as well as ceramics have been unearthed from the tombs.
According to the bronze tripods and combinations of chime-bells and Qing (an ancient Chinese musical instrument), one of these tombs is confirmed to belong to a noble official Qingdafu (or minister) from the Spring and Autumn Period.
