(ECNS) -- Beijing on Thursday released the first batch of permits to deploy robotaxis without humans in the driving seat on public roads in the capital.
The operators who are granted with permits are allowed to test drive their autonomous vehicles within a 60 square meters of the pilot area.
Ten of Bidu's autonomous vehicles would offer such rides and another 30 vehicles will be included in the pilot business as planned.
