(ECNS)-- In a recent interview, Jiang Liping, member of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) from Taiwan, emphasized the importance of cross-Strait communication.

He said CPPCC members from Taiwan play liaison and communication roles, and should make full use of their connection with local people.

Jiang is also chairman of the Hubei Provincial Committee of the Taiwan Democratic Self-Government League.
