(ECNS) -- The diversified Yadan landscape stretching alongside an expressway in Xinjiang was shrouded in white snow Tuesday.
The unique landscape is shaped with parallel ridges and grooves weathered by the prevailing wind.
It means "small hills with steep cliffs" in the Uyghur language.
The expressway stretching into the distance resembles a black ribbon dissecting the white land when seen from above.
