(ECNS) -- A direct flight carrying three tons of winter jujubes departed Korla, Xinjiang on Sunday. Five hours later, it would arrive in Chongqing.
This charted cargo flight was launched to carry fresh fruits from Xinjiang to other provinces and cities.
Korla has unique geographical and climatic conditions that improve the sugar content of jujubes.
The crisp, juicy and sweet Korla winter jujubes are very popular among consumers.
The charted cargo plane is the sixth fresh fruit flight this year, following the cargo plane of white apricots and flat peaches.
After three years of service, Korla has sent fresh fruit to more than 10 cities, including Beijing and Shanghai.
