(ECNS) -- Greenhouses in Taxkorgan Tajik Autonomous County have helped boost local employment.
Twelve greenhouses were built in Taxkorgan in 2017 under the joint efforts of local government and Futian District, Shenzhen City in Guangdong Province.
A vegetable cultivation cooperative was established for farmers in 2019.
The cooperative has not only taught locals planting techniques but also hires them to oversee seedling management and pest control.
These greenhouses have grown tropical fruits like dragon fruit and provided employment opportunities for many local people.
