(ECNS) -- The police department of Chambéry, located in eastern France, sent a letter and expressed gratitude to the public security bureau of Zhangjiakou City for its donation of epidemic prevention materials.
Stéphane Duong, director of the municipal police, said in the letter that "the mask and clothes are welcome in the fight which unites us against this virus."
"We hope that this moment will remain engraved in our memories as a moment of fraternity between our cities," it was added.
The two cities signed a memorandum of friendship and cooperation in 2017.
