December 2014 -- Work on the new Beijing airport commenced.
September 2015 -- Construction on the airport's terminal started.
June 30 2017 -- Steel structure of its terminal buildings was completed.
December 2 2018 -- Four bridges on highways to the airport swiveled into position, meaning that all major highway projects to it had been completed.
December 26 2018 -- The airport's runaways and lighting facilities were completed and ready for test run.
May 13 2019 -- The airport conducted test flights of four planes. June 30 2019 -- Construction of the airport was completed as scheduled.
