Chimelong Ocean Kingdom's first female West African manatee calf, named Feifei, has met the public in Zhuhai, South China's Guangdong province.
It is a landmark event, as the species is in danger of extinction due to a low birth rate. The first male African manatee calf was born here on June 24 last year.
It is reported that another female manatee is expected to give birth in September.
