(ECNS)--Every country is welcome to join the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank (AIIB), including the United States and Japan, Joachim von Amsberg, AIIB's Vice President, said Monday on the sideline of the Summer Davos in Dalian, Liaoning province.
“People all over the world are recognizing that the AIIB is a well-governed international organization,” he said.
Initially there was skepticism that it would be a Chinese-dominated institution, but it has become clear that the AIIB is an international organization with China as the largest shareholder, said Amsberg.
He also said that it is truly a multilateral and multilateral-governed institution, with every member country having a voice and rights and votes.
