(ECNS) -- Hundreds of beehives were hung on the 100m-high cliff at Shennongjia Forestry District in Hubei Province.

They were originally done to prevent bears and boars from stealing the honey.

Today, they have become a unique sight for visitors.

Shennongjia Forestry District is the fifth national Chinese honey bee reserve in China.
