(ECMS) -- The last supermoon of 2019 appeared on the night of the Spring Equinox, which fell on March 21 this year.

At its perigee, the moon is about 360,772 km from the earth.

The next coincidence will appear in 2030.

The supermoon in February was 356,846 km away, making it the biggest supermoon before 2026.

The traditional name for the March full moon is called "worm moon," according to Native Americans.

As temperatures warm up this month, worms are starting to come out, heralding the coming of spring.

Therefore, the March supermoon is called "Super worm moon."
