(ECNS) — Rows of shabtis, mummy-like tomb figurines used by ancient Egyptian civilizations, were exhibited at Shanxi Museum on May 3.
Like ancient Chinese Terracotta Warriors, these shabtis gave allegiance to the deceased and were placed inside tombs to act as servants or minions in the afterlife.
