(ECNS) --Beijing Traffic Management Bureau issued the city's first license to tech giant Baidu to conduct open-road tests for its autonomous vehicles on March 22.
Shanghai issued the country's first batch of such licenses on March 1. Previously, the road testing of these vehicles was only allowed in closed areas.
