(ECNS) -- Local authorities in Mohe County, Northeast China's Heilongjiang Province, broke up ice on the Heilongjiang River from April 4 to 8 to prevent an ice jam as temperatures rose.
It created a spectacle as a series of controlled explosions occurred.
