(ECNS) -- China's manned submersible Shenhai Yongshi, or “Deep Sea Warrior,” was opened to the public in Sanya, Hainan province, on Sunday.
About 120 visitors took a close look at China's latest equipment for deep-sea research.
"I can use photos I take here when I teach students in class about pressure and buoyancy, which will be more convincing," said Gong Jinqiu, a physics teacher who brought 11 students to visit the submersible.
The event was held by the Institute of Deep-sea Science and Engineering of the Chinese Academy of Sciences.
