Czech Republic's Prime Minister Bohuslav Sobotka is leading a business delegation to Shanghai ahead of the upcoming leaders' meetings between China and Central and Eastern European countries in Shuzhou. The business communities in both countries are expecting good results for future cooperation.
A promising gathering, political and business leaders from both China and the Czech Republic will tap the potential for making deals during the business forum in Shanghai.
Bohuslav Sobotka said:"We are willing to deepen friendly cooperation with China and advance exchanges in trade, technology, transport, healthcare and many other areas. We appreciate the Belt and Road Initiatives, and want to actively participate in the process."
Wang Zhixiong, Vice-Chairman of All-China Federation of Industry and Commerce said:"The business community in Shanghai has played a big part in China's Going-out Strategy. The bond between the city and Czech will be tightened as more Chinese companies are getting interested in doing business there."
Bilateral relations between China and the Czech Republic have been warming over the past few years and Czech has become China's second largest trading partner among the 16 Central and Eastern European countries.
Business communities from both sides are optimistic about the potential and opportunities for future economic cooperation, especially under the Belt and Road Initiative."
Cooperation between the Czech Republic and China in the fields of investment, trade, finance and many others will be deepened.
"Czech is an ideal bridgehead for us to enter the European market. Its location, connectivity, stable political situation and steady economic growth make the country very attractive to the Chinese investors," said Ye Jianming, Chairman of CEFC China Energy Company.
Czech Prime Minister Bohuslav Sobotka will meet Chinese Premier Li Keqiang along with leaders from other Central and Eastern European countries in nearby Suzhou on Tuesday and Wednesday.
