Shanghai Disney Resort unveils spring celebration with themed activities

Shanghai Disney Resort has announced a series of spring celebrations running from March 3 to May 31, featuring monthly themed events and seasonal attractions.

The resort will showcase over 200 varieties of flowers in bloom throughout the season. March will see tulips blooming, while April will feature cherry blossoms. In May, colorful roses will adorn the park. The flowers will also be used to make character-themed floral vistas, including displays of Mickey and Friends, Duffy, LinaBell, and more.

Disney characters debuted new spring costumes in a special fashion show on Monday. The park's classic performance, Disney Color-Fest: A Street Party, returns with three-colored parade groups featuring Disney characters and dancers in red, yellow, and blue costumes.

March celebrates Disney Princesses Month and International Women's Day, with special tributes including a Minnie Mouse-themed floral display and special castle shows featuring Disney princesses. April focuses on Chip 'n' Dale's birthday and Winnie the Pooh-themed festivities, while May highlights Marvel superheroes and Zootopia-themed activities.

A significant addition to this year's celebration is the 2025 Disney Inspiration Run · Morning Fun from April 10 to 13, allowing participants to run through all eight themed lands before the park's regular opening hours. Registration details will be available from March 24 through the resort's official app and WeChat account.

The resort has also enhanced its dining offerings, introducing Donald Duck's Paparino ice cream shop featuring gelato and seasonal treats. Special culinary experiences include a lobster set at Aurora and seasonal afternoon tea sets at Royal Banquet Hall.

Throughout the season, visitors can enjoy a new face and hand-painting service. The celebration also introduces new merchandise collections featuring Mickey and Friends in spring colors, Duffy and Friends with floral-themed designs, and clothing and accessories inspired by Winnie the Pooh and Friends and Zootopia.

To celebrate International Women's Day, the resort offers special limited-time afternoon tickets for March 8, priced at 299 yuan ($41) for standard tickets and 224 yuan for children, seniors, and guests with disabilities.

At the same time, Disneytown hosts springtime activities, including spring sketching workshops, the spring edition of the magic glee club performances and the spring fresh market featuring local crafts and delicacies.
