China's railway network surpasses 160,000 kilometers

China's railway network has surpassed 160,000 kilometers, with high-speed rail reaching 46,000 kilometers — an increase of 63.8 percent and 387.6 percent, respectively, since 2012, China State Railway Group announced on Saturday.

The country's rail infrastructure and modernization are now considered world-class, excelling in passenger and freight transport, technological innovation, energy efficiency, and safety.
