Thirty firefighters are missing during their efforts to put out a forest fire that broke out Saturday in Muli, a Tibetan autonomous county in Liangshan Yi Autonomous Prefecture, southwest China's Sichuan Province.
They went missing after the forest fire erupted again on Sunday after a sudden change in the wind direction.
The altitude of the fire is reported at around 3,800 meters.
A total of 689 people are still battling to contain the blaze.
The fire broke out at around 6:00 p.m. Saturday at several locations on a cliff by the Yalong River, which is about a six to seven hour drive from Muli county.
