A man on Monday injured two people with scissors in the eastern part of the capital city before being arrested by police, French television channel France 3 Paris reported on its website.
The suspect injured a postman in the throat and wounded a passerby in the 11th district of Paris, according to the report.
Police had used a Taser to neutralize the suspect whose profile was not identified yet, it added.
The scissor attack came hours after a man stabbed seven people with a knife, including two British tourists, on the banks of the Bassin de la Villette, in northeast Paris. Four passersby suffered serious injuries.
While the suspect's motives were not identified, there was no indication linking the attack to terrorism, a source close to the investigation was quoted as saying by local media.
France remains on high security alert for terrorist assaults following its military operations in Iraq, Syria, and the Sahel region of Africa.
It has seen several attacks on home soil claimed by the Islamic State (IS), with the deadliest one occurring in Paris in November 2015, which killed 130 people and injured more than 400.
