Beijing Municipal Administration and Communication Card Co., Ltd, which is in charge of transportation card management, released a multi-functional transportation card in the form of a bracelet on October 18, the Beijing Youth Daily reported.
The card now supports an Android system and can serve as a running counter, smart alarm, and sleep monitor besides its basic function for transportation payment. Additionally, the card's monetary balance can be recharged on the Internet.
According to the company, the card will soon be able to support an iOS system and benefit more citizens.
