China will start engineering the fourth phase of its lunar exploration program this year, China National Space Administration Vice Administrator Wu Yanhua said on Sunday.
The major goal for Phase 4 of the lunar program is to conduct scientific exploration at the lunar south pole in order to facilitate the construction of a basic structure for a lunar research station in the region.
