(ECNS) -- The rise of AI companies like DeepSeek showcases China's innovation and inclusiveness in technological development, said Lou Qinjian, spokesperson for the third session of the 14th National People's Congress, at a news conference in Beijing on Tuesday.
DeepSeek's open sourcing has facilitated the application of AI technology worldwide and contributed "Chinese wisdom" to the world, he added.
The significant progress made by DeepSeek represents the rise of Chinese companies in the field of artificial intelligence, the spokesperson noted.
He praised the company's core team, composed mainly of young and middle-aged professionals, for taking on a leading role in advancing the country's technological progress.
