Japanese Foreign Minister Yoshimasa Hayashi will visit China at the invitation of State Councilor and Foreign Minister Qin Gang from Saturday to Sunday, Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Mao Ning said on Friday.
This year marks the 45th anniversary of the signing of the China-Japan Treaty of Peace and Friendship.
The weekend tour will be Hayashi’s first China visit since taking office last year, Japanese media said.
