On Thursday, a group of Hong Kong residents issued a statement on some local newspapers calling for joint efforts in safeguarding social order.
In the statement, the residents also extended their support to the government of the Special Administrative Region (SAR) and Hong Kong police for their efforts in stopping illegal acts, bullying, sabotage, and riots.
