China on Wednesday issued a white paper on achievements of democratic reforms in Tibet Autonomous Region over the past 60 years.
The white paper came one day ahead of Tibet's Serfs' Emancipation Day.
On March 28, 1959, the central government initiated democratic reforms to end feudal serfdom under theocracy and promote social progress in the region.
