China's top leaders will attend a ceremony to commemorate the fifth Martyrs' Day on September 30.

The leaders, together with representatives from all walks of life, will leave flowers for the people's heroes in Tiananmen Square, Beijing, on Sunday morning.

In 2014, China's legislature approved September 30 as Martyrs' Day to commemorate those who lost their lives fighting for national causes.
