A group of elderly participants from the Republic of Korea (ROK) headed to the Mount Kumgang resort in the Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK) on Friday morning for a temporary meeting with their war-separated families.
The second round of family reunion includes 326 people from 81 families on the ROK side. They are expected to arrive at the site and meet their families later on Friday afternoon.?
The first batch of family reunion took place from Monday to Wednesday.?
Seoul and Pyongyang agreed to hold the reunion of the families, who have been separated since the 1950-53 Korean War ended with armistice, from August 20 to 26.?
The humanitarian event was part of the agreement by the ROK and DPRK leaders during their historic summit in April.
