A bus driver in Zhejiang Province has won praise on social media for his character - written on a well-placed sign.
Anyone who has boarded Zhang's bus over the past six years has been greeted by the sticker with a Chinese character for ren, or "be tolerant."?
The 53-year-old said he put it there for a clear reason. "Some passengers are bad-mannered," explained Zhang, who also admits to having a temper himself.?
"Whenever I see the note, I remind myself to calm down."?
Zhang explains he's had his fair share of unpleasant encounters over the past 20 years as a Leqing city bus driver. "Every now and then passengers would curse us," Zhang said. "I'd rather not repeat what they've said."
The sign took on new significance for him following a recent tragic bus accident in Chongqing. Fifteen passengers died after a bus plunged off a bridge.?
The accident was partially caused by an argument between a passenger and the driver, media reported.?
"That sign teaches me a lot," Zhang said.?
