More than 200 Chinese enterprises participated in business trips to countries including Kazakhstan, Germany and South Africa within half a month since the end of the Spring Festival, the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT), the organizer of the trips, said on Thursday.
The enthusiasm of Chinese companies to participate in the trips is surging, and the willingness of foreign partners for cooperation exceeded expectations, with over 600 foreign enterprises and institutions having participated in the events, resulting in 33 cooperation intent agreements in fields such as finance, energy, infrastructure, automotive manufacturing and the digital economy, a CCPIT official said in a post online.
This fully demonstrates the strong desire and broad prospects for pragmatic, mutually beneficial cooperation between the Chinese and foreign business communities, the CCPIT official noted.
"During our visits and exchanges, we fully felt that in times of difficulty, the global business community's determination to unite and pursue win-win cooperation becomes even stronger. This is the greatest certainty and positive force counterbalancing the uncertainties in global economic development," the official said.
The small noise of unilateralism and protectionism cannot disrupt the main theme of countries worldwide working together to promote economic globalization that benefits all and is inclusive, the official stressed.
As one of the latest examples, a Chinese business delegation on Monday departed for Germany for a three-day business trip with the focus on automotive industry cooperation. During the trip, CCPIT officials and Chinese enterprises met with German officials and business executives, according to the organization.
According to Yuyuantantian, a social media account affiliated with China Media Group, the visit comes amid recent U.S. tariff threats against European automakers, particularly targeting German auto manufacturers, which made up 73 percent of Europe's car exports to the U.S. in 2024.
The CCPIT will continue to organize overseas business trips for Chinese enterprises and welcome the participation of private enterprises as well as small and medium-sized enterprises to participate, the CCPIT official said on Thursday, calling on businesses to deepen communication, conduct pragmatic cooperation, achieve win-win results, and jointly oppose trade protectionism.
