China and the U.S. had constructive and frank talks on bilateral economic and trade issues from Aug. 22 to 23.
Vice Minister of Commerce Wang Shouwen is also China’s deputy international trade representative and held the talks in the U.S. with his counterpart David Malpass, undersecretary for international affairs at the U.S. Treasury Department.
Both sides will continue to maintain contact, China's Ministry of Commerce said.
