(ECNS) — U.S.-bound shipment bookings from China have surged nearly 300% following a mutual announcement to reduce tariffs on May 12, according to trade tracking firm Vizion.
Ben Tracy, the company's vice president of strategic business development, said the seven-day average booking volume stood at 5,709 twenty-foot equivalent units (TEUs) as of May 5. By Wednesday, the average had surged 277% to 21,530 TEUs.
