(ECNS) -- The People's Liberation Army (PLA) Air Force on Sunday refuted the false information claiming that China's Y-20 strategic transport aircraft sent supplies to Pakistan.
"Recently, there has been a large amount of online information claiming that China's Y-20 strategic transport aircraft delivered relief supplies to Pakistan, which is false information," the PLA Air Force said in a statement.
Pakistan and India announced on Saturday that they had agreed to an immediate ceasefire, following four days of military strikes on each other.
China hopes for and supports an early ceasefire between Pakistan and India, and is willing to continue playing a constructive role in this regard, Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi made the remarks on Saturday during a phone call with Mohammad Ishaq Dar, Pakistan's deputy prime minister and foreign minister.
