(ECNS) -- American influencer IShowSpeed ended his China trip in Changsha, central China's Hunan Province, on Monday after meeting with "Nae Nae" song creator Wowkie Zhang.
Zhang wrote and sang the song "Sunshine, Rainbow, White Pony" -- the Nae Nae song.
During a previous livestream, Speed reacted dramatically upon hearing the song, and his exaggerated response became a viral moment online.
Speed and Zhang met at the recording studio of the new variety show of Hunan TV and shared the hit song "Sunshine Rainbow Little White Pony."
In addition to meeting with Zhang, Speed also savored Changsha's cuisine and experienced its local customs. He tried authentic dishes like chopped pepper fish head and spicy gluten strips, or Latiao in Chinese. Though the spice brought tears to his eyes, he couldn't resist going back for more, giving a thumbs-up and exclaiming, "This is fire!"
Beyond the food, Speed experienced Changsha's massage culture and learn about the city's history as well. Upon arriving at Du Fu Pavilion, he changed into a white Hanfu and ascended the pavilion.
Captivated by the ancient melodies played by musicians plucking strings and beating drums at the entrance, his lively eyes widened, and his feet subtly tapped along to the rhythm. He even earnestly tried mimicking the traditional hand gestures.
IShowSpeed, whose name is Darren Watkins Jr, started his China trip in Shanghai and has traveled to several Chinese cities such as Beijing, Chongqing, Chengdu in Sichuan Province, and Shengzhen in Guangdong Province.
